Guyana: Improving Trade Related Public-Private Dialogue
Introduction

Introduction

In 2006, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and International Co-operation (MOFTIC), the National Advisory Committee on External Negotiations (NACEN) and the European Commission Delegation in Guyana implemented a project to support the private sector participation in the formulation of Guyana’s multilateral trade policy. The project was linked into the Government’s National Competitiveness Strategy and was completed at the end of 2006.

The project was funded from the European Development Fund, under a 12 million euro Programme established jointly by the ACP Secretariat and the European Commission under the ACP-EU Cotonou Partnership Agreement to Support the Integration of the ACP States in the Multilateral Trading System.
