The First European Investment Forum in Uruguay will take place in Montevideo on 21-22 June 2017. It is an initiative promoted and financed by the European Union. The activity is co-organized with Uruguay XXI, the country's Investment and Export Promotion Institute.

The Forum's agenda will include visits to some investment projects and business platforms in Uruguay (tax free zones, industrial parks and free ports) and an intense business round.

The Forum is a unique event in which entrepreneurs from both continents will have the opportunity to create strategic alliances and do “real business” in B2B meetings.

Uruguay has a public investment plan of 12 billion dollars for the period 2015-2019, with foreseen investments in the areas of road infrastructure, energy, education and health.
