Distributing facts and data about the EU Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP)

Global trade has entered a new phase of unpredictability and lack of transparency. This calls for reliable sources providing facts and data that traders and interested persons can resort to. On behalf of the European Commission, we manage the GSP Hub website – https://gsphub.eu/ until the end of 2028. The purpose of the website is to inform interested persons about the GSP and its implementation, as well as relevant information about the beneficiary countries, notably regarding their exports to the EU under the Scheme and implementation of the GSP conventions.

To ensure that interested parties, stakeholders and the population at large are kept informed about the GSP and its contribution to sustainable development, the Commission employs various communication tools and channels. One of these is the GSP Hub website. Its purpose is to inform interested persons about the GSP and its implementation, as well as relevant information about the beneficiary countries, notably regarding their exports to the EU under the Scheme and implementation of the GSP conventions. In addition to general information about the GSP, the website provides information about individual beneficiary countries:

  • Regarding their exports to the EU under the GSP and overall economic performance;
  • Regarding their implementation of the GSP conventions;

The focus is on current (Bolivia, Cabo Verde, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan) and prospective (Tajikistan) GSP+ countries as well as EBA enhanced engagement countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar).
